Located in California’s Central Valley farm country, the Richgrove School District serves 750 students in grades K-8. Richgrove is dedicated to helping all students become 21st century learners; the school’s students and staff operate modern technology that allows and fosters access to a broad curriculum and meaningful experiences.

"We want to make sure we have the ability to talk to our kids, talk to our staff, in case of an emergency or just on a daily basis on a regular routine."

Superintendent
Richgrove needed a better way to handle emergency response, paging, bells, and other campus-wide communication. Superintendent Mario Millan identified FrontRow’s Conductor — a networked, unified communication platform — as the solution. Richgrove uses the technology to be more efficient, enhance critical and emergency communication, and even improve academic results.
Their campus now has award-winning FrontRow campus control and communication technology, including:

Conductor
FrontRow Conductor stood out as a way to modernize communication, save time, and money. In addition to paging and bells, Conductor enables the school to carry out emergency communication—in a crisis, one click helps keep students safe.
“We are in an environment where safety is a priority for us. We want to make sure we have the ability to talk to our kids, talk to our staff, in case of an emergency or just on a daily basis on a regular routine,” shares Millan. “For us it was a no brainer, it was the way to make sure our kids were safe and that they had all the most current information that they needed for that moment.”
Conductor can automate critical emergency responses: locking doors, giving verbal instructions, pushing evacuation maps, digital signage and more. “If we do have lightning or a storm outside I can push the lightening tab,” says Millan, “we also have a fire tab, a lockdown and a shelter lockdown.”
FrontRow Conductor’s digital command center makes Richgrove’s communication far more powerful and easier to manage. Traditional bells and paging systems could no longer handle the school’s most basic needs; for example, shifting bell schedules for daylight saving time. “We were at a point that we actually had to contract someone out to come and change all of our bells,” states Millan.

Juno Teacher and Student Microphones
Conductor is a companion of FrontRow’s classroom AV technology. The award-winning Juno system ensures that the teacher’s voice is understandable throughout the room, while student microphones encourage participation and confidence.
Concludes Millan, “not only is Conductor good on our end in allowing us to communicate with the staff, but, [with Juno], it allows the staff to communicate with the students in a more productive way. It’s a great way to ensure the students have the audio levels they need in their classrooms, a great way for teachers to save their voices, and a great way to ensure safety.”
Richgrove is reducing costs, saving effort, and achieving more with FrontRow Conductor’s communication technology. FrontRow Conductor makes communications effortless so schools can focus on learning.
